The Gist

This is not

Dominionism

We believe that community in the church should be built around missions and that the believer in the marketplace is far better off in spreading the Gospel. Missional living is about a lifestyle that embodies Christ in our day-to-day living. It is about living authentically before believers and non-believers alike. It is about looking for ways to join in the work God is already doing in the lives of our neighbors, co-workers, friends and families. At the core, missional living is where our relationship with Christ seeps into every aspect of our lives – our vocation, plans, hopes and dreams. Our goal is not to take over the world systems but to faithfully serve our city and community so that our lives will become a witness of the reality of Christ and His kingdom.

This model is not dominionism mandate rather it is a humble submission to the Lord’s plan for our city where every one of us lives as a missionary in the vocation we are called. We want to encourage and empower each believer to live out their life in humble submission to the Lordship of Christ and in the spirit of servanthood and seek out ways to give expression to God’s kingdom through an exemplary life in the world. The movement simply stirs the passion and commitment in their hearts, provide coaching, resources, problem solving and training and ensuring that believers take responsibility for the spread of the Gospel in their spheres of life thereby ensuring that the Gospel and our commission remain in a form that is relevant to the culture. The model provides the opportunity to network and share information and ideas and effective resources or strategic partnerships.

In Hebrews 12: 1, the Apostle Paul writes that we are surrounded by a great cloud of martyrs (witnesses) who have sacrificed their lives to defend the faith and we are called to carry our own cross and live to exalt Christ in our vocation rather than fulfill our ambitions. Our daily lives revolve more around our work life than anything else so it’s best to have believers connect around this units to learn about Christ and to replicate Him in others through healthy relationships centered on God, mission-driven and organized on the bedrock of vocations. This is especially important because it positions believers on the frontline of this battle to reach the world with the gospel and creating a church that is ever connected to the culture yet distinct in its values and character.

How to

Join A Group

We know it can be difficult to take the next step from a large group environment like our weekend worship experience to a smaller setting. That’s why we would like to offer a few suggestions to help.

1) Register for our Men’s or Women’s ministry. Click ether of these links to begin the process. Women’s Ministry and Men’s Ministry

2) Volunteering is a great way to meet people who are already plugged into a small group.
